EXPERIMENTS
Before performing the analytic process in the Amatrol's T5554, manual tests were made in order to calibrate the pH system's sensor; a determination experiment was performed using two solutions with acid and alkaline pH values, the following steps were conducted along the process.
Materials
· 1 pH sensor from the analytic process control system
· 1 multimeter (with cables)
· 3 glasses (one for each solution)
· pH testers
· 1 spatula
· 1 glass for weight measuring
· 2 ml HCL (hydrochloric acid)
· 2 g NaOH (sodium hydroxide)
Step 1
All the materials were washed before the preparation of the solutions, after this was completed, the pH of each sample was measured using pH bands in order to compare the results with the ones provided by the sensor of the analytical system.
Step 2
Once the pH of the solutions was measured using the pH bands, the system's sensor was used for the same measurements. It is important to mention that the process for measuring the pH was complicated because of the small surface for measurement in the sensor; therefore, experimental error were present during this part of the experiment. Later on the course, the digital equipment for measuring pH was available for its use in the analytic system.
The following video shows the steps performed for the experiments mentioned previously.
